I have sought learning. I have sought truth. What best have I learned? To love God from my youth. I have read philosophy, the greatest thoughts of men but God writes on my soul with the finest truest pen. Expand thou, my mind, & as a pure conduit channel truth to my soul, for my intelligence, self-existent, was never made nor can be stayed from its destined role. For I am a child to wisdom’s king & with my exaltation bring added glory to His name, another golden link on the eternal chain, another picture in the celestial frame.
